This car is claimed to run up to speeds around 275 mph or 442.5 km per hour. The choice of China as the tuatara SSC launch site this could be due to the phenomenon of China’s economy continues to strengthen making the car market there continues to crawl potential. The name tuatara (pronounced twu-tar-ah) itself is inspired from the name of a lizard in New Zealand are taken from the Maori language.

These lizards have the DNA of the fastest growing in the world. That’s what Shelby wants the new supercar. His body, the SSC tuatara using carbon fiber material, both for body and chassis. Racing car powered by chocolate and steered by carrots!!

Researchers at the University of Warwick have today, Tuesday 5th May, unveiled the WorldFirst Formula 3 racing car which is powered by chocolate, steered by carrots, has bodywork made from potatoes, and can still do 125mph around corners.
There has been much speculation about the creation of this car but it has now been completed and today is the first day it has actually been ready to drive.
Following the recent turmoil in Formula 1 arising from the high costs of running competitive motor racing teams, and doubts in sponsors’ minds over the commercial value of their involvement, the viability of motor racing is being critically questioned. With this in mind the University of Warwick team based in the University’s Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) and the Warwick Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre decided to build a competitive racing car using environmentally sustainable components to show the Industry just how much is possible using current environmentally sustainable technologies.
It is the first Formula 3 racing car designed and made from sustainable and renewable materials, putting the world first by effectively managing the planet’s resources. The car meets all the Formula 3 racing standards except for its biodiesel engine which is configured to run on fuel derived from waste chocolate and vegetable oil. Formula 3 cars currently cannot use biodiesel.
It s a”Green”super car!!!

2010 Zenvo ST1 Exotic Super-Car

It's Europe's latest hyper-exotic car costing just over $1 million and it's based on one of America's most celebrated sports cars, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
Called the Zenvo ST1, it's completely designed and built in Denmark with exclusivity, luxury, and of course, extreme performance in mind. We reported on it late last year, and despite our initial doubts, company execs maintain their ST1 will indeed make it to production. Graciously, they've given us more images to drool upon ahead of its European release later this year, so sit back and enjoy...
What a beauty!!!

EXOTIC CARS

Model: Venom GT
Styles: Venom GT
Engine: 6.2-liter V8
Power range: 725-1,200 horsepower
Torque: 741-1,133 pound-feet
Gearbox: Six-speed manual
Configuration: Longitudinal midengine, rear-wheel drive
Claimed top speed: 267 mph

Just the idea of stuffing a hot-rodded LS9 power plant in the back of a Lotus Elise is enough to make our loins ache. And it's exactly the kind of overkill Hennessey Performance Engineering loves to create. Hennessey's Venom GT is available with several power options which shouldn't make any difference in its sub-100-mph performance. And above that, this thing will be insanely quick. Fortunately, Hennessey has done computational fluid dynamics on this most menacing machine.
This is just a nice way of saying that it souldn t get airborne when the speed gets silly.

Dodge Bring STR to newfoundland Rally

Road rallies are a special thing. They allow competitors to go out, no holds barred and race safely on public roads. One of the most spectacular would have to be Targa Newfoundland, which takes competitors through 2200 kilometers (about 1367 miles) of Canadian towns and back roads. Competitors from all over the world come to compete at Targa Newfoundland. This year three SRT vehicles, two Dodge Challenger SRT8s and a Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X, will compete head-to-head at Targa Newfoundland.
SRT will be fielding three teams at this year’s Targa Newfoundland. Gilles with Jen Horsey will be at the helm of the race-ready and track prepped 640-hp 2010 Viper SRT10 ACR-X, while George Notaras and Nick Chambers will be driving a “virtually stock” 2012 Challenger SRT8 392. The third team will be driving the same lime green, Targa Newfoundland-prepped 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 that Gilles drove in the Targa back in 2008.
The SRT brand’s efforts over the weeklong rally will be for a good cause. The three teams will be racing not only to win, but in order to raise $50,000 for the Autism Society of Newfoundland & Labrador. The Targa Newfoundland runs from September 10-17, and you can follow along at Targa Newfoundland’s site, and at DriveSRT.

TORRANCE, California — Toyota said on Thursday that it's going to pull forward the on-sale date for the redesigned 2012 Camry by about two weeks, with cars arriving in showrooms in mid-September.
The on-sale date for the 2012 Camry had been targeted for early October.
In its August sales conference call, Toyota told the media that earlier sales of the 2012 Camry are being made possible because the "sell-down of the 2011 Camry is going extremely well."
Toyota said it sold 30,185 2011 Camry and Camry Hybrids in August compared with 30,764 in August 2010, a drop of 5.7 percent.
Jeff Bracken, vice president of sales for Toyota's U.S. division, said that compared to year ago levels, sales were down 16 percent on a daily selling rate basis as "dealers continued to operate with less than ideal inventory levels."   He said all North American production will return to normal levels in September, for the first time since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
With most of Toyota's North American plants now running at maximum operating rates, Toyota projects that production for the second half of 2011 will "now actually exceed initial plans."
Bracken said Toyota dealer inventories should "grow in September for the first time since the twin disasters in Japan disrupted production."
Toyota is already building the new Camry at its Georgetown, Kentucky factory. Inside Line says:
A bit of good news for those anxious to get their hands on the 2012 Toyota Camry.

First Post - One of the cars of my dreams...

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M. M3 models have been derived from the E30, E36, E46 and E90/E92/E93 3-series, and sold with coupé, sedan and convertible body styles. Upgrades over the "standard" 3-Series automobiles include more powerful and responsive (yet at times smaller) engines, improved handling/suspension/braking systems, aerodynamic body enhancements, and interior/exterior accents with the tri-color "M" (Motorsport) emblem.
